Description:
DOWNTOWN. This brick-and-limestone ballpark was built for the 1996 Olympic Games and then revamped as Turner Field. The park, home of the Atlanta Braves, boasts modern facilities and plenty of extras, including interactive games, restaurants, a gift shop, and a museum and hall of fame (additional fee) with Hank Aaron memorabilia and other historical exhibits. Near the entry plaza are statues of the most legendary Braves. Turner Field generally opens three hours before game time, providing a great opportunity for folks to catch batting practice or score a few autographs. During the off-season, tours of the park allow visitors to explore the bullpen, press box, dugout, and locker rooms.

Description:
GRANT PARK. Visitors to the Atlanta Cyclorama are transported to July of 1864 and the Battle of Atlanta. Seated on a revolving platform, viewers almost become part of the battle as sound and lighting effects, along with narration, bring the scene to life. The painting is 42 feet high and covers the walls of a circular room over 110 feet in diameter. The Civil War exhibits in the museum include the historic locomotive "Texas." Gift shop on site.

The usual zoo menu is cast out of the window, however, when held up against Ford African Rain Forest. You can observe the animals in their habitats by looking over the fence into a manmade savanna, or you can go to the viewing theater to see gal and guy gorillas up close through a glass partition.
