Steeped in tradition, this annual event is attended by approximately half a million people and witnessed by millions more on the BBC. The newly elected Lord Mayor makes his way to the Royal Courts of Justice to pledge fealty to the Monarch. The parade is quite grand and a massive fireworks display above the Thames completes the show at day's end. |
